Course Description

The Strength and Conditioning MSc (Online Distance Learning) is designed for professionals currently working with athletes who wish to advance their academic and practical skillsets. This master's degree provides the scientific theory and applied coaching techniques required to support both athletic and non-athletic populations at the highest level. The programme is available as a one-year full-time course or a two-year part-time route, offering flexibility for those balancing professional commitments. Students will explore exercise physiology, biomechanics, and coaching principles, ensuring they graduate as well-rounded practitioners. A key feature of the course is the professional placement module, which allows students to apply their learning in real-world environments. While the course is delivered via online materials, tutorials, and seminars, an optional residential at the London Sport Institute provides access to state-of-the-art facilities at StoneX Stadium. By the end of the programme, students will be equipped to design evidence-based training programmes and contribute to the generation of original knowledge in the field of strength and conditioning.
