Course Description

The Mental Health Studies MSc is an innovative programme designed for degree-level practising nurses or health and social care professionals who wish to follow a flexible modular pathway. This course is ideal for those currently working in mental health, health, or social care services who want to enhance their professional practice, research knowledge, and leadership skills. The programme offers a flexible approach, with most modules taught online or via distance learning, complemented by some on-campus sessions for specialised skills at the Hendon campus. Students can study full-time over one year or part-time over two years. A key requirement is that students must be working in mental health or related services with direct access to service users to complete the programme assessments. By joining this course, students will benefit from a supportive learning environment, access to extensive digital resources, and the opportunity to network with a diverse range of clinicians. Please note that this course does not lead to registration as a mental health nurse or other mental health practitioner.
