This one-year full-time programme provides a thorough grounding in teaching geographical skills and concepts, such as space, place, and environmental interaction, while also equipping students to teach across the humanities spectrum, including history, citizenship, or religious education. The course integrates 120 days of school-based training in partnership schools with 60 days of university-based learning, which includes lectures, seminars, and practical workshops. Students will be supported by dedicated subject tutors and mentors throughout their training. By the end of the programme, students will have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the confidence to operate as critically reflective teachers in a secondary school setting.
