Course Description

Designed for students who have previously studied engineering, this in-depth, technical and practical MSc programme aims to advance your existing skills to meet the global demand for engineering managers. The course is available as a one-year full-time programme or a two-year part-time option, with an optional 12-month professional placement year available to gain real-world industry experience. You will develop a sophisticated understanding of project management, finance, operations, and human resources within an engineering context. Instead of a traditional thesis, you will engage in a team project that simulates real-life industry scenarios, allowing you to apply your knowledge using industry-standard software such as WITNESS, Simul8, and MATLAB. Whether you are looking to lead engineering teams or oversee complex technical operations, this course provides the essential combination of technical expertise and management capability. With strong industry connections and accreditation from the Institute of Engineering Designers, this degree is tailored to help you excel in a competitive global job market.
