Course Description

This postgraduate master's degree is designed for those looking to become leaders in shaping public policy for a more sustainable world. Whether joining directly from undergraduate study or as an experienced professional, students will gain analytical skills and a deep understanding of sustainable development in theory, policy, and practice. The programme explores the establishment of equitable social and economic relations and the responsible use of environmental resources. Available as a 12-month full-time course or a 24-month programme with a professional experience year, the curriculum covers critical topics such as climate justice, environmental law, and intersectionality. Students benefit from an international learning environment and expert-led teaching. The 24-month version includes a mandatory 9-12 month paid placement, providing hands-on experience in real-world settings. The institution reserves the right to adjust services in line with external advice. This course prepares graduates for impactful roles in public, private, and third-sector agencies, equipping them with the knowledge to manage change in a complex global environment.

Tuition Fee Details

Full-time UK students: £11,700. Part-time UK students: £78 per taught credit and £38 per dissertation credit. For the 24-month professional experience option, the fee is £18,750 + £3,000. Tuition fees are subject to annual review and the institution reserves the right to increase fees in line with changes to legislation, regulation, or government guidance. UK qualifications

A 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in a relevant area, particularly social sciences, social policy, development studies, geography, sociology, politics, environmental and related subjects.

Other qualifications

We accept the equivalent of the above qualifications from a recognised overseas qualification. We will also accept a professional qualification of an equivalent standard.
