Course Description

The Foundation Year in Sport is designed as an essential entry route for students who do not yet meet the standard entry requirements for degree-level study. This course provides a supportive environment to develop the scientific knowledge, mathematical concepts, and academic skills necessary to succeed in a sports-related degree. Students will explore topics ranging from sports psychology to the human form, gaining a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical scientific methods. Upon successful completion of this one-year foundation course, students will progress directly onto a three-year BSc degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Sport and Exercise Science (Physical Education and Coaching), or Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation. This programme is ideal for those returning to education or those looking to build confidence before embarking on a full degree. The institution reserves the right to adjust course content to maintain academic standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for the demands of the global sports industry.
