Course Description

The Veterinary Nursing BSc Honours programme is designed for students aspiring to become registered veterinary nurses. Delivered in collaboration with The College of Animal Welfare, this four-year full-time degree balances theoretical study with essential professional experience in small animal veterinary practice. Students will explore anatomical, biomedical, and physiological principles, alongside emergency and critical care, leadership, and surgical procedures. The curriculum is structured to build confidence and competence, ensuring graduates are prepared for the demands of the veterinary sector. Throughout the course, students engage in clinical placements, gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of veterinary professionals. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the VetSkill Companion Animal Suitably Qualified Persons (C-SQP) qualification. This course is ideal for those passionate about animal health and welfare, providing a comprehensive foundation for a rewarding career in veterinary practices, research, zoos, and beyond. Tuition Fee Details

For the 2026/27 academic year, the annual tuition fee for UK undergraduate students is £9,790. International students are charged £17,200. Please note that tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases.
