Course Description

This BSc Psychology with Criminology programme is designed for students who aspire to work within the criminal justice system and wish to investigate the psychological elements of legal proceedings and criminal investigations. The course provides a robust foundation in psychological theory and research methodologies, with a specific focus on their application to criminal behaviour. Students will develop critical analysis skills and practical proficiency, preparing them for a variety of professional roles. The programme is available as a 3-year full-time course, or a 4-year full-time option including a year-long work placement, which allows students to gain valuable industry experience without paying tuition fees for that year. Part-time study options are also available over 5-6 years. Throughout the course, students will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and expert-led teaching, ensuring they are well-prepared for further professional training or immediate entry into the workplace. This course is fully accredited by the British Psychological Society, providing a pathway towards Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership.

Tuition Fee Details

For the 2026/27 academic year, the tuition fee for UK students is £9,790 for standard full-time courses. Part-time study is charged at £81 per taught credit. The institution reserves the right to increase undergraduate tuition fees in line with changes to legislation, regulation and any government guidance or decisions. Tuition fees for part-time UK study are subject to annual review and the institution reserves the right to increase the fees each academic year by no more than the level of inflation.
