Course Description

This 20-month shortened BSc Honours programme is specifically designed for registered adult nurses who wish to transition into the midwifery profession. Developed in partnership with local NHS hospitals, the course ensures that 50% of your learning takes place in clinical practice, providing essential hands-on experience in maternity wards. You will benefit from state-of-the-art simulation facilities at the West Stand, which allow you to practice emergency care in a safe, realistic environment. The curriculum covers vital areas including anatomy, physiology, complex care, and leadership, preparing you to become an accountable, autonomous midwife. Throughout the programme, you will be supported by an experienced team with both UK and international expertise. This course is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, ensuring that graduates are eligible to register as midwives. Tuition Fee Details

For the 2026/27 academic year, the annual tuition fee for UK students is £9,790. This fee is subject to increase for subsequent years of study in line with government guidance. Qualified adult nurses on the NMC Professional Register.

70 credit points at diploma level.

12 months experience working as a nurse.

English Language Requirements
