Course Description

The Information Systems (Top-up) (Online Distance Learning) BSc Honours is a one-year programme specifically designed for international students who wish to build upon an existing HND or foundation degree. This course is ideal for those who need the flexibility of working remotely while gaining a comprehensive understanding of information systems, including the design, analysis, development, and management of IT. Students will be taught by experts who are actively involved in research and industrial collaboration. The curriculum covers essential topics such as software development, user-centred design, and modern technological enablers like cloud computing and mobile applications. By honing both technical and transferable skills—such as communication, project management, and critical thinking—graduates are well-prepared for a variety of professional roles in the IT sector. This multidisciplinary programme provides a pathway to a full BSc degree and offers the opportunity to progress to postgraduate research. The institution reserves the right to manage future changes to courses if necessary due to external circumstances, ensuring academic standards remain a priority.
