Course Description

This three-year degree apprenticeship is designed for individuals currently working within local NHS trusts or healthcare organisations who wish to specialise in cardiac physiology. As a student at Middlesex University London, you will benefit from a work-integrated learning approach, balancing academic study with essential clinical practice in your workplace. The programme is highly practical, providing you with the skills to perform specialist procedures such as echocardiography, pacemaker implantation, and exercise stress testing. You will learn in state-of-the-art facilities, including the new West Stand educational centre, which features advanced simulation technology. This course is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Department of Health's Modernising Scientific Careers programme, ensuring you develop the high-demand skills needed to provide excellent patient-centred care. Throughout your studies, you will be supported by experienced teaching staff and workplace mentors, gaining the confidence to solve complex clinical problems. Upon completion, you will graduate with both a BSc degree and an apprenticeship certificate, confirming your professional competence as a Healthcare Science practitioner.

Tuition Fee Details

There is no cost to do a higher or degree apprenticeship for the apprentice. The employer and the government are required to pay the tuition fees, meaning the apprentice does not need a tuition fee loan. Tuition fees may be subject to change by Middlesex University London.
