Course Description

This BSc Honours degree in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) is designed for students who wish to pursue a career as a healthcare science practitioner within the NHS. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of heart function, diagnostics, and patient treatment. Students will develop practical skills in electrocardiograms (ECGs), exercise stress testing, and cardiac angiography. The programme is delivered through a blend of face-to-face teaching, practical workshops in state-of-the-art facilities, and significant clinical placement experience. Over the three-year full-time duration, students may spend up to 50 weeks in NHS clinical physiology departments. The course is also available to study part-time. Tuition Fee Details

For the 2026/27 academic year, the tuition fee for UK students on standard full-time courses is £9,790. Part-time study is charged at £81 per taught credit. The university reserves the right to increase undergraduate tuition fees in line with changes to legislation, regulation and any government guidance or decisions. Tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases.

BBC at A-level including a C or above from a science subject

DMM in BTEC in a science subject

Access to HE: Overall pass in a science subject including 45 credits at level 3 at Merit or higher
