Course Description

This BSc Honours degree is designed for students passionate about understanding the causes of crime, the complexities of policing, and the intricacies of investigative psychology. Whether you are aiming for a career in the criminal justice system or wish to develop highly valued analytical and research skills, this course provides a comprehensive foundation. Students explore how the police, courts, and probation services interact, while also examining social dynamics, justice, and policy. The programme is available as a three-year full-time course, with an optional four-year route including a placement year to gain professional experience. Part-time study options are also available over four, five, or seven years. Throughout the degree, students benefit from research-led teaching, field trips to criminal justice institutions, and the opportunity to tailor their studies through optional modules. Tuition Fee Details

For the 2026/27 academic year, the annual tuition fee for UK students is £9,790 for standard full-time courses. Part-time study is charged at £81 per taught credit. The university reserves the right to increase undergraduate tuition fees in line with changes to legislation, regulation and any government guidance or decisions. Tuition fees for part-time UK study are subject to annual review and the institution reserves the right to increase the fees each academic year by no more than the level of inflation.
