The Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Public Services (RQF) is a 240-credit vocational degree-level qualification taught on campus in central London. It is equivalent to the first two years of an honours degree and is designed in partnership with employers across the uniformed and non-uniformed public sector. The programme blends applied criminology with public-service practice — criminal law, ethics, mental health, terrorism, organised crime, forensic methods and a substantial research project — preparing you for frontline roles or further study. Successful graduates progress directly into uniformed and community public-service roles, or top up to a BSc (Hons) at one of our partner universities — typically the BSc Criminology & Criminal Justice top-up, entering Year 3.
For UK home students, tuition fee is £9,575 per year. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change by the institution in line with government regulations and guidance.
