Course Description

BSc (Hons) Public Health aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to enhance and safeguard the public's health, and reduce health inequalities between individuals, groups, and communities through coordinated action. This course offers the opportunities for students to develop contemporary knowledge and understanding of the diverse areas of practice contributing to public health and develop an appreciation of the wider determinants of health inequalities, social policy, related theories and their application to public health. Learn to promote people's health and wellbeing, with our BSc Public Health degree. The programme aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to improve and protect the health of the public and reduce health inequalities between individuals, groups and communities through co-ordinated action You’ll learn to research, analyse, report, plan and implement measures for health improvement, health protection and healthcare. 

Tuition Fee Details

For UK home students, tuition fee is £9,790 per year. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change by the institution in line with government regulations and guidance.

UK qualifications

Minimum requirement:

96 UCAS tariff points from 3 A Levels or equivalent, e.g. CCC.

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a related subject.

International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points.

Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC.

Scottish Highers: BBCCC.

Foundation Year Requirements:

Applicants require a minimum of 40 UCAS Tariff points.

Candidates who meet the above entry criteria for either foundation and standard entry, but have been out of study for 5 years, will be required to pass an academic interview.

English Language Requirements


GCSE

All applicants are required to have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.

IELTS

Candidates must demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification.

Other

Non-Standard Entry (Mature 21+):

We require an academic Level 3 qualification (Ofqual recognised) OR a Level 2 qualification in the desired field of study accompanied with work experience within this field in the last 5 years. Candidates in this category would be required to pass an academic interview.
