Course Description

The Sports Therapy MSc is a conversion degree tailored for sports scientists and related graduates who are eager to develop and apply evidence-based clinical skills within a professional therapy setting. As one of the first institutions in the UK to offer this ground-breaking programme, the institution provides a comprehensive curriculum that follows the competencies set by The Society of Sports Therapists (SST). Students will gain expertise in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries, with a strong focus on practical and clinical decision-making. The course is available in full-time (one year) or part-time (two years) modes, featuring a mix of lectures, seminars, and hands-on practical sessions. A key highlight is the placement module, which includes 200 supervised hours, often conducted in the institution's own student-led public clinic. This hands-on experience is essential for meeting SST accreditation requirements and enhancing graduate employability. By the end of the course, you will be well-prepared to pursue a career as a professional sports therapist.
