Course Description

Become a qualified social worker with this professionally accredited master's degree. This course is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping disadvantaged communities and creating sustained, positive change in people's lives. Rooted in principles of equality and social justice, the programme prepares you to become a reflective and resilient practitioner capable of working in diverse settings, including child and family services, mental health, and support for older people or those with learning disabilities. You will develop essential practical skills through research-informed teaching, policy analysis, and legislation. The course includes two periods of assessed practice placements, totalling at least 170 days, ensuring you gain vital real-world experience. You will be supported by academic mentors and industry professionals, including service users and carers who contribute to your learning. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to join the Social Work England register, a mandatory requirement for practice in England, and become a member of the British Association of Social Workers.

Tuition Fee Details

The tuition fee for UK home students is £9,550 per year. Tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases by the UK government.
