Course Description

This master's degree is designed for teachers and language professionals looking to teach English, as well as those with no prior teaching experience. The course explores the sociocultural, political, economic and cultural aspects of how the English language is learned, taught and used worldwide. You will examine language pedagogy, linguistics and sociolinguistics in relation to theory and practice, while developing the skills needed to become an employable language teacher, policy maker, educator or researcher. The institution offers a diverse cohort, ensuring you benefit from a varied learning experience. You will be supported by experienced practitioners who have published work and research in the sector. The course is available on a full-time basis (1 year) or part-time (2 years). Through a reflexive and reflective approach, you will be encouraged to think of yourself as a global language professional, ready to make a meaningful impact in various social and educational environments.

Tuition Fee Details

The tuition fee for UK home students is £11,000 per year for full-time study. For part-time study, the fee is £1,225 per 20 credit module.
