Course Description

This four-year degree course is designed for students who wish to start a career in the legal industry but may not have the traditional entry qualifications required for a standard LLB. The programme begins with an intensive foundation year (Year 0), which provides a supportive introduction to university study, helping you develop the academic skills, confidence, and knowledge necessary to progress onto the main LLB Law (Hons) degree. During the subsequent three years, you will focus on core modules essential for the legal profession, such as Contract Law, Tort, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and Land Law. You will also have the opportunity to study specialist modules and gain practical experience through the institution's Pro Bono Legal Advice Clinic and mooting competitions. This course is ideal for those looking to build a strong foundation for a career as a solicitor or barrister, or to pursue roles in compliance, policy, NGOs, government, and business.

Tuition Fee Details

The tuition fee for the foundation year is £5,760. Tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases by the UK government. The university reserves the right to increase the tuition fees in line with changes to legislation, regulation and any government guidance or decisions.
