Course Description

Enter the fast-paced world of hospitality and events with our BA (Hons) Hospitality Management and Leadership degree. Designed to develop your leadership skills and industry know-how, this course blends academic learning with hands-on experience, from real-world projects and management reports to guest lectures, field trips and live case studies. You’ll build expertise in key areas such as digital marketing and branding, sustainable practices and event planning, while strengthening your ability to think critically and make confident decisions. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your learning, developing the self-management skills that set successful leaders apart. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and people skills, you’ll graduate ready to lead across hotels, restaurants, events and beyond. Careers include hotel management, event management, HR, restaurant management, and tour and travel management. If you don’t yet meet the entry requirements, you can still join through our Foundation in Design and Creative Business (Level 3) before progressing onto the full BA.

Tuition Fee Details

For UK home students, tuition fees are £9,790 for the Foundation Year, followed by £9,790 per year for each subsequent year of study (Years 1–3). Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change by the institution in line with government regulations and guidance.

Foundation Year Requirements:

32 new UCAS tariff points, see accepted qualifications

Merit, Pass, Pass at BTEC Extended Diploma

Pass at UAL Extended Diploma

32 new UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in an appropriate subject.

And four GCSE passes at grade A*-C and/or grade 4-9 including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2)

Year 1 Undergraduate Requirements:

112 new UCAS tariff points

Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4)

Merit, Pass, Pass at BTEC Extended Diploma

Merit at UAL Extended Diploma

Other qualifications

Non-Standard Entry:

Applicants must have 2 years of relevant work experience and English proficiency to be able to demonstrate understanding of business analysis, effective time management and working with others.

For any non-standard entry, an interview will be required to assess an applicant’s ability to meet the Level 3 qualification criteria/ benchmark.

Assessment via:

A Personal Statement explaining motivation and experience and an interview to assess readiness for study.

A written task to evaluate academic ability (if necessary).

Other relevant and equivalent level 3 UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis, and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds apply.

Course Structure

Stage 1 - The first stage covers the key areas related to your degree programme and will focus on either creative design or business. You’ll learn the theoretical knowledge and debates surrounding these disciplines and the historical and international contexts which underpin them. You will also begin to build the foundations for studying at degree level.

Stage 2 - This stage builds on the key research, analytical and reflective skills built in Stage 1. You will also have the opportunity to explore specialist areas of study and focus on your chosen path within the creative arts or business.

Stage 3 - You’ll undertake a self-directed, specialist project which will synthesise and conclude your newly learned knowledge. The Final Major Project consists of three units which include advanced language and study skills needed for progression onto an LCCA design or creative business undergraduate degree.
