Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a specialist programme of study with a strong work-related emphasis. The work-related curriculum has been designed to address the increasing need for high quality technical and professional education at level 4. The programme of study equips students with the right skills and competencies for the workplace or progression to further higher education study.
For UK home students, tuition fee is £6,185 per year. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change by the institution in line with government regulations and guidance.
Applicants must be age 18 years or over. Apex College makes admissions decisions based on an applicants’ potential to successfully complete the two-year programme of study and benefit from obtaining the Pearson BTEC HND and HNC Business qualification for future employment and/or further higher education studies.
The entry requirements are likely to include one or more of the following:
BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business
A GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades A* to C (or equivalent) and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as maths and English.
Other related Level 3 qualifications
An Access to Higher Education Diploma from an approved further education institution
Relevant work experience, or
An international equivalent to the above qualifications
