Course Description

This course allows you to gain a qualification in just one year and provides you with the core business knowledge and workplace skills that will boost your employability and career prospects. Through a range of engaging and practical modules, you will gain an insight into the world of business and how it operates, including understanding how key business functions such as HR, marketing, finance, and operations, as well as the external environment that impacts how businesses operate. You will develop your business knowledge by exploring important theories and concepts, but also through examination and application of real-world business case studies and by reflecting on your own experience and examples. This CertHE Business programme also places a strong emphasis on the development of key workplace skills that employers are looking for such as communication and research skills, IT and numeracy, teamworking and presentation skills, all of which can boost your employability and career progression in a variety of roles across the business and public sector or help you develop your own business. After gaining your CertHE qualification in one year, if you wish to continue your studies you can enter Year 2 of the BA (Hons) International Business programme and work towards completing a bachelor’s degree.

Tuition Fee Details

For UK home students, tuition fee is £9,790 per year. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change by the institution in line with government regulations and guidance.

UK qualifications

Eligible for Student Finance England SFE funding (i.e. not international students with Study Visa)

Have current or previous work experience across a variety of roles/sectors in a business environment

Mature students of age group 20-50+

English Language Requirements


GCSE

English language assessments focusing on reading and writing, along with subject-specific tasks related to the chosen programme. Candidates will also join small groups for a combined English and subject-based speaking activity, designed to support participation and give everyone the chance to demonstrate their communication skills
