Course Description

This pioneering degree course, the first of its kind to be accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists, offers a comprehensive education in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletes. Designed for those passionate about sports science and injury management, the programme combines rigorous scientific study with extensive practical experience. Students benefit from the institution's state-of-the-art Science Centre, which features physiology laboratories, therapy treatment rooms, and advanced biomechanics equipment. A key highlight is the opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in the on-site clinic, which is open to the public, alongside work placements with a wide network of industry contacts. The course is available in full-time (3 years) and part-time (4 years) modes, providing flexibility for different learners. By integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical competence, the programme prepares graduates for successful careers in private practice, professional sports clubs, and health organisations. With a strong focus on employability, students also have the chance to earn additional vocational qualifications, such as personal training and sports massage, throughout their studies.
