Course Description

This Social Work undergraduate degree is designed for those passionate about equality and social justice who wish to pursue a career as a professional social worker. Approved by Social Work England, the course provides a dynamic learning environment where students engage with academic staff, practitioners, and people with lived experience of social care services. Throughout the three-year full-time programme, students develop the essential knowledge, skills, and values required for effective practice. The curriculum integrates nine key frameworks, including ethics, diversity, and professional leadership. A significant highlight of the course is the inclusion of two supervised practice placements, providing at least 170 days of hands-on experience in statutory social work settings. This practical focus ensures graduates are well-prepared to register with Social Work England and begin their careers. The institution also offers part-time study options for those who require a more flexible approach, though applicants should note that part-time study is not available for those requiring a Student visa.
