Course Description

The Music Technology and Production BSc (Hons) is designed to equip and enthuse aspiring music producers, audio engineers, and sound designers with the creative and technical skills needed to succeed in the music and audio industries. This innovative, career-led course focuses on music production and creation while examining the role of sound across diverse creative sectors, including film, television, games, and software design. Students benefit from practice-based learning in fully equipped Mac IT labs and professional recording studios, supported by industry-standard software and hardware. The teaching team consists of experienced industry practitioners, ensuring students gain valuable insights into professional working environments. Throughout the three-year full-time programme, students build a comprehensive portfolio of work, developing the expertise and critical thinking required for professional standards. The course is also available for part-time study, typically over six years. By the end of their studies, graduates are well-prepared for various roles in the creative industries, from freelance production to positions in major studios.

Tuition Fee Details

The tuition fee for UK home students is £9,790 per year for full-time study. For part-time study, the fee is £2,445 per 30-credit module. Tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases by the UK government.
