Course Description

This four-year degree is designed for students who may not meet the entry requirements for a standard three-year undergraduate course. It features an intensive foundation year (Year 0) that provides a supportive environment to build core skills in digital design, creative practice, and research, ensuring you are fully prepared for the subsequent three years of study. Throughout the course, you will explore animation, rendering, modelling, lighting, and visual effects (VFX), working with industry-standard software and techniques. The curriculum is developed in collaboration with computer games professionals and the industry body TIGA, ensuring that the content remains relevant to current professional standards. You will have the opportunity to work in teams with games programming students, mirroring real-world industry workflows. By the end of the course, you will have developed a professional portfolio and the technical and artistic skills necessary to pursue a career in the games, animation, and digital media industries. The course is available for full-time and part-time study.

Tuition Fee Details

The tuition fee for UK home students is £9,790 per year for full-time study. Tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases by the UK government.
