Course Description

This undergraduate degree is designed to prepare students for a professional career as a dietitian, the only health professional qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat diet and nutrition-related problems at both individual and public health levels. Throughout the three-year full-time programme, students will engage with the latest scientific research on food, health, and disease. The curriculum is highly practical, incorporating three full-time work placements within NHS organisations in London, providing essential hands-on experience in acute and community care settings. Students will develop the expertise to provide nutrition and dietetic care for diverse populations, including those at risk of long-term health conditions. The course is accredited by the British Dietetic Association (BDA), and successful completion makes graduates eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). With a strong focus on clinical skills, communication, and professional practice, this course equips students with the knowledge and confidence to make a meaningful impact on public health and individual wellbeing.
