Course Description

This four-year BSc degree is designed for students who wish to specialise in the design and implementation of modern software systems but may not meet the traditional entry requirements for a standard undergraduate degree. The course features an intensive foundation year (Year 0) that provides a solid grounding in programming, cyber security, networking, and mathematics, ensuring students are fully prepared for the subsequent three years of study. Throughout the programme, students benefit from a blend of theoretical learning and practical, hands-on experience in workshops and tutorials. The institution provides a supportive environment where tutors help students build academic confidence and develop essential skills. Graduates earn the same full undergraduate degree as those on the traditional three-year route. This course is available for full-time study, with part-time options also offered. By the end of the programme, students will have the expertise to confidently develop their own software programmes and pursue a wide range of professional opportunities in the computing industry.
