Course Description

This four-year degree is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in computer systems engineering and robotics but may not meet the entry requirements for a standard three-year programme. The course includes a built-in foundation year (Year 0), which introduces key principles of computer systems, engineering, and mathematics, helping to build your confidence and academic skills. Following the foundation year, you will progress through three years of study, gaining hands-on experience in specialist laboratories equipped for computer-aided design, electronics, embedded systems, and satellite communications. You will graduate with a full undergraduate degree, sharing the same title and award as those on the traditional three-year route. This course is ideal for those looking to develop the applied knowledge and technical expertise required to succeed in the computing and engineering industries. The programme is available on a full-time basis, with part-time options also available for domestic students.
