Course Description

This four-year degree course is designed for students who wish to enter the field of computer networking and cyber security but may not meet the requirements for direct entry to a standard undergraduate degree. The programme includes an intensive foundation year (Year 0) that builds essential skills in cyber security, logic, problem-solving, communications engineering, programming, and mathematics. Following this, you will progress to the three-year undergraduate curriculum, sharing the same content and module choices as the standard BEng (Hons) degree. The institution is home to the UK’s first Cisco Networking Academy and a Palo Alto Networks regional academy, allowing you to graduate with industry-recognised certifications alongside your degree. You will benefit from impressive computer laboratories and a curriculum accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. This course is available for full-time study, providing a comprehensive pathway to professional roles in the networking and security sectors.
