Course Description

This top-up degree is designed for students who have already completed a foundation degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification and wish to complete their final year of undergraduate study in London. It provides a direct pathway to a professional managerial career within the global travel and tourism sector. Throughout the programme, students investigate contemporary industry challenges, including risk management, tourism marketing strategies, and the effective management of visitor attractions. The course benefits from strong links with government and industry bodies, such as the Tourism Management Institute, and utilises London’s position as a global tourism hub for practical case studies. Students will develop essential skills in sustainable tourism management, cultural heritage, and tourism-led regeneration. The programme is available for both full-time (1 year) and part-time (2 years) study, offering flexibility for those balancing professional commitments. By focusing on both academic theory and practical application, the course prepares graduates for diverse roles in business, government, and third-sector tourism organisations.
