Course Description

This degree course is designed for students who wish to embrace the creative possibilities of decorative interior environments. It explores a wide range of contexts, including domestic, retail, exhibition, hotel, leisure, and public spaces. Throughout the course, you will investigate the spatial and material relationships within a building, focusing on surfaces, furniture, artefacts, and textiles. You will develop both graphic and applied decorative making skills, enabling you to test, sample, and represent your ideas as a specialist interior designer. Working with both hard and soft materials, you will experiment with traditional and digital workshop processes. The course encourages you to develop your unique design voice while considering the social, cultural, and environmental impacts of your work. Available as a three-year full-time programme, the course also offers a part-time study route over six years. You will benefit from industry connections and research archives, preparing you for a professional career in the vibrant interior design sector.

Tuition Fee Details

The tuition fee for UK home students is £9,790 per year for full-time study. Part-time study is charged at £2,445 per 30-credit module. Tuition fees for subsequent years may be subject to inflationary increases by the UK government. The university reserves the right to increase the tuition fees in line with changes to legislation, regulation and any government guidance or decisions.
