Course Description

This Interior Architecture and Design degree is designed for students who want to develop a specialist way of thinking about how we occupy complex interior spaces. The course explores how interior elements and the materiality of spaces are brought together at a human scale to accommodate and delight. Students will develop essential skills in observational and spatial drawing, computer drawing, model making, and technological investigations. The programme encourages a multi-disciplinary approach, allowing students to become creative partners while gaining insights into professional practice. Teaching is enriched by study trips, practice visits, design workshops, and lectures from industry professionals. The course is available as a three-year full-time programme, with a six-year part-time option also available. Students are encouraged to combine intellectual and creative ambition with detailed resolution of their work, preparing them for a career in design or architectural practice. The institution provides a supportive environment where students can test their ideas and communicate effectively with peers and the wider world.
