Course Description

This four-year degree is an excellent choice if you do not have the necessary qualifications to apply for a traditional three-year degree in illustration and animation. The course includes an intensive foundation year (Year 0) designed to provide you with the essential skills, techniques, and work ethic required for undergraduate study. During this year, you will work alongside students from other creative disciplines, exploring a wide range of projects from drawing and painting to performance and textiles. Following the foundation year, you will progress to study the same content as the three-year degree, embracing developments in illustration and animation that span digital and three-dimensional worlds. You will have numerous opportunities to exhibit your work, including a public exhibition at the end of your foundation year. This course is available for full-time study, with part-time options also available. It is designed to help you establish a strong sense of creative direction and prepare you for a successful career in the creative industries.
