Course Description

This four-year degree course is designed for students who are passionate about film and television but may not meet the entry requirements for the standard three-year programme. The course includes an intensive foundation year (Year 0), which provides the essential academic and practical skills needed to succeed in the subsequent three years of study. You will graduate with the same degree title and award as students on the traditional three-year course. Throughout your studies, you will benefit from academic and pastoral support, including career-related workshops to help with job applications and interview techniques. The foundation year is shared with other students in the School of Computing and Digital Media, offering a great opportunity to exchange ideas and meet peers from different specialisms. You will learn from internationally renowned experts and have access to practical training that prepares you for the real-world media industry. Whether you are interested in film theory, production, or media history, this course offers a supportive environment to reach your full potential.
