Course Description

This four-year degree course is designed for students who may not meet the standard entry requirements for an architecture degree. The intensive foundation year (Year 0) provides an alternative route, equipping you with essential studio and workshop skills to prepare for the subsequent three years of in-depth architectural study. During this year, you will explore creative practices, engage with materials and processes, and develop your confidence in presenting and defending your work. You will be taught by degree tutors and work in the same environment as undergraduate students, gaining a true sense of university life. Following the successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress to join the standard three-year degree, graduating with the same award and title as your peers. This course is validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) at Part 1 level, providing a strong foundation for those aspiring to become registered architects in the UK.
